Nakom follows Iddrisu, a medical student studying at university in the city, as he returns to his village of Nakom after the sudden death of his father. Torn between duty to his family and his ambitions to be a doctor, Iddrisu must make a hard choice that affects more than just his future.

Shot in Ghana, Nakom shows vivid scenes of both city and rural life juxtaposing the two settings as opposing forces – the old ways versus the new ways. What way will Iddrisu choose?

Nakom will be showing at the following times and locations during the Seattle International Film Festival:

Monday, June 6, 2016, 6:30 PM SIFF Cinema Uptown Festival

Tuesday, June 7, 2016, 3:30 PM SIFF Cinema Uptown Festival

Directors Kelly Daniela Norris and TW Pittman are scheduled to attend both showings.
